Information Educators provide to let us run background checks and background check reports we receive from

Notes you provide to Educators about yourself or student when enrolling in a class.
Passively Collected Data:
When you use or interact with us through our Site, we and our third-party partners
may collect, receive, and store certain data automatically. For example,
Usage data
We collect usage data (such as login times, search terms you used, and pages you viewed), and
other information about your device and browser.
Identifiers and device information.
We collect IP Address, device identifiers such as cookie identifiers and mobile
device identifiers (see our Cookie Policy, below), your device’s operating system type, and browser type. We
may use such information and pool it with other information to track usage and device and system data, for
example, the total number of visitors to our Sites, the number of visitors to each page of our website, and the
domain names of your Internet service providers. We and our partners may also use this data for interest-based
advertising.
Inferred Data:
We may infer new information from other data we collect, including using passive, automated

subjects your family may be interested in from searches you may perform. We may also infer your general

Required Personal Data:
Some Personal Data is required such as credit card payment used by Parents to
purchase classes and for verified parental consent. Educators are also required to let us access Personal Data
relating to background checks. Educators are also required to have their cameras on while teaching a live class.
Learners are required, subject to authorized exceptions, to have their video enabled at least at the start of class
to verify their identity to protect the safety of other Learners. You may decline to provide certain Personal Data.
Sources of Personal Data
You are the main source of Personal Data we have about you. We may also obtain any of the above categories
of information from third parties. These third-party sources include, for example:
Third party partners. Third party applications and services, including social networks you choose to connect with
or interact with through our services.
Co-Branding/Joint Partners.
Partners with which we offer co-branded services or engage in joint marketing
activities.
Service providers.
Third parties that collect or provide data in connection with work they do on our behalf, for
example companies that determine your device’s location based on its IP address.
Publicly available sources. Public sources of information such as open government databases and background
check services we used for Educators.
Our registration, donation, and product ordering forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, email address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, donation and payment amounts, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers.
We use the information you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If you provide infor- mation for a certain reason, we may use the information in connection with the reason for which it was provided and we may also email you about other content, advertisements, promotions and products. For instance, if you sign up for Tenured updates, we will use the information to send you updates on new content, events and products. Additionally, if you sign a petition, answer a Tenured poll question online, enter a contest or respond to a survey you will be added to our email list where you will receive other updates from Tenured.
We generally retain personal data for so long as it may be relevant to the purposes identified herein. To dispose of personal data, we may anonymize it, delete it or take other appropriate steps. Data may persist in copies made for backup and mission continuity purposes for additional time. Tenured and Tenured Agents use email addresses and mailing addresses to send updates about various content offerings and program activities. Agent
An “Agent” is any third party that collects or uses personal information under the instructions of, and solely for,
Tenured, or a third party to which Tenured discloses personal information for use on Tenured behalf. Agents
shall comply with the privacy obligations stated in this Policy.

The Site is operated in the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. If you are
located outside the United States, please be aware that information we collect, including personal information,
may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States. By using the Site or providing us with any

Information About Children
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

Children's Privacy Policy:
Tenured encourages parents and guardians to supervise their child's use of the Internet. We urge parents to
instruct their children to never give out their real names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal informa-
tion without a parent's or guardian's permission when using the Internet. We recognize a special obligation to
protect personal information obtained from children and by design do not collect this information. For this
reason, we will not request, collect, or store any personal information knowingly from children under 18.
